Vertical expansion of a building
The three buildings involved in this expansion project, originally a 3-floor building, were built in the 1960s in masonry and reinforced concrete.
To achieve this two-level expansion, seismic and structural reinforcements had to be set using carbon fiber composite materials, mainly in stairwells.
This extension, which allowed the creation of 14 apartments, was made of wooden structure in order to limit additional weight on the existing building.
