Vertical expansion of a residential building at rue de la Servette 76-78

Residential Building Extension – Rue de la Servette, Geneva

This two-storey vertical extension, completed with a recessed penthouse level, created twelve new apartments ranging from two- to five-room units, including three duplex apartments occupying part of the eighth floor and the penthouse level.

The extension is supported by a hybrid concrete and steel structure specifically designed to meet the structural constraints of the existing building. To accommodate the additional loads, steel columns were integrated into the façade at ground-floor level and at the uppermost level of the existing structure.

The façades were entirely redesigned using Alucobond cladding combined with glazed balustrades, giving the building a contemporary architectural identity while enhancing both its appearance and functionality.
