Attic transformation of a 19th century building
The attic of this building from the late 19th century, located in the protected area of the Rond Point de Rive, was occupied by attics transformed into two apartments.
In order to transform these surfaces in living spaces, the existing roof openings have been enlarged and glass dormers have been added to extend the existing façade openings.
During this renovation works, the entire building was restored.
The stairwell has been renovated in accordance with original materials and colors and a roof vent has been set up on the existing large skylight to meet fire safety standards.
The roof was replaced with materials identical to the original materials (copper and slate) and solar panels were installed on its flat part to produce domestic hot water and meet current energy standards.
The building facade has been restored and repainted and the stone parts have been cleaned by a company specialized in the renovation of old buildings.
